Product is good but there was a promotional where it was buy 2 get 1. So I purchased 2 assuming the 3rd one would be sent along with my purchase, it wasn’t. I didn’t know I was supposed to put all 3 in the cart (customer service ended up telling me) when purchasing them and no where was that stated when purchasing it. I called customer service and their resolution was mail the 3 back and repurchase them for the deal instead of an easy fix of them sending me another one. So yeah that sucks

Dear Customer Service, Love the Hue Bridge and Lights capability - give them 5 stars. However, I assumed the smart plug would have an auto shutoff timer. I'm using it to turn on/off our home hot water recirculating pump. I wanted to run the pump using smart button for a few minutes and then automatically shut it off to save hot water, but the Hue app doesn't have auto shutoff! I ended up using Google Home linked with Hue. Please add feature.
The app is confusing.

If you have a mix of smart plugs and light bulbs the functionality is very limited if you expect lights to come on at sunset and turn off at different times. The need to group them into Rooms precludes the use of more than four that will turn on at Sunset. Setting colors of individual bulbs is nearly impossible when creating Automations, especially when using Zones. The lack of a dimming smart plug is an issue.

As the title says, it's a smart plug. A little overpriced for how basic it is, but that seems to be the case with a lot of the HUE lights. I wish the app didn't consider it a light, as I don't use it with a light. It's a smart plug, so you can use it to turn on most devices you can plug into it, like a mini fridge. It's pretty easy to add to your bridge, and works as intended.

Ordered a starter kit & two smart plugs. One smart plug does not work. I emailed your support line and was told I need to return the entire order. I have already programed the hub for the bulbs and other smart plug. I received a plug that does not work. Replacing a $29. plug should not be such a problem.
Plug-in lacks functionality

The plug-in . I bought since a friend of Hue plug can no longer simply work. The Philips Hue plug is overpriced with limited functionality. I bought to use with automation. Automation is only light friendly and I could not setup automation for the plug o turn on and off on a schedule.

This smart plug will never disappoint you. I had the wemo before and it keeps on going off the wi-fi. I transitioned to the Philips plug since I own a whole lot of the Philips Hue products. And of course, it did not fail me. It is seamless and it does nit fail to perform.
A bridge too far…

I needed a relay to my bridge. I had a light in a bedroom on the far side of the house that could not be discovered by the bridge. I put the smart switch in an unused socket between the light and the bridge and now everything works fine.

Worked with my studio monitors. All without having to downgrade my phone WiFi to 2.4 hertz. If you have a bridge already this is a no brainier. If you don’t have a bridge. Get one.

Using several smart plugs for outdoor christmas lighting. Works well with bridge supporting multiple outdoor zones. Plug is on a power strip inside a weatherproof junction box.
