At this time, Matter does not support devices that are only controlled by Bluetooth. Matter over Thread is automatically enabled for Philips Hue lights with the Matter badge. You can also enable Matter by adding a Bridge to your setup.

Accepted Answer

All Android operating systems that support the Philips Hue app will also support Matter. Without a Hue Bridge, you'll need a hub (i.e., a Thread border router) to control the lights directly over Matter.

Apple users need at least iOS 16 or higher. Users with iOS 18 or higher will not require a home hub to pair Matter-enabled accessories.
